Just got my first bonsai (juniper) from a roadside vendor for cheap.
First, he says to give it a shower once a week, including drawings of how
to
do this. Basically, on the tub bottom, near the drain, shower pointed to
far
end of tub, turn on hot only, and let the steam moisturize the bonsai.
This
is in addition to daily watering & monthly liquid fertilizer. My "101
essential tips for Bonsai" book does not address this "showering" option.
Opinions on this?
Second, I have a regular-sized junipers in the yard and they have seed
cones.... And I swear that the juniper bonsai is developing cones also....
Is this possible for a bonsai to develop cones?
