Hey bill,
Watch the calories daily (2000) and get the HgbA1c every three
months...if you are sticking to the rules, there are some diabetics
who try cinnamon supplements and chromium gtf. If it helps it should
work over 2-4 weeks so watch the finger sticks and get it from a place
like Whole Foods. Diabetics always have problems from small blood
vessel disease so bilberry (an antioxidant) in theory would help the
damage especially to the retina. Read on fenugreek and panax ginseng,
(beware that some combination ginseng prducts can produce high blood
pressure)....ask your doctor about what you are going to try....or
find a good herbalist or a napropath close by......Take care of the
asthma later diabetes leads to bigger problems. Dont forget to
exercise....tai chi, 5 K walking, water aerobics.
