Baird, a reverse osmosis unit is used AFTER your water softener has taken
most of the minerals and junk out of the water. There still remains
rather
a lot of salt, and also certain odors can even get through the reverse
osmosis unit. Usually they use a carbon filter to remove any odors and
odd
tastes that may still get through.
