Onions
From seed, they're best started indoors mid-February. Transplant,
spacing three inches apart as soon as the ground is workable.
Spanish onions should always be started indoors to allow the time
needed for proper development in the short-season areas like Muskoka.
For bunching onions, days to maturity are between 60 to 75 days.
For Spanish varieties, 85 to 120 days.
