Easy to grow, producing a large, turnip-rooted or knob-celery roots,
it's a celery-like veggie and the roots are eaten after reaching two
inches or more in diameter. They require no blanching, and have a
pleasant, nut-like flavor. Served raw, or boiled… or in soups and
stews, this veggie has a variety of ways to be presented on the dinner
table!
In short growing season areas, you're best to start Celeriac off early
indoors, or buy established plants for the season.
