Make****ft greenhouses

Make****ft ‘Greenhouses’ !

Some years ago, I constructed a rather large ‘’ in that I completely
covered the raised bed I had built, which was 18 feet X 6 feet wide,
with construction-grade plastic.
To water, I simply put the hose inside and literally ‘made it rain’
until all the plants got a really good drink.

One early Spring when there was still snow on the ground, I planted
some of the hardier veggie seeds, and enclosed them in my make****ft
greenhouse. By mid-April, the plants were WELL on their way, and by
May 1st, I had a crop all ready to harvest.

So, because frost danger was still not past, I replanted the bed with
the tender items like beans, cukes, tomatoes, etc… and left the
plastic intact. They got off to a rip-roaring great start, and the
late frosts never bothered the plants one iota!

When danger of frost passed, I simply removed the plastic, and the
garden progressed beautifully for the remainder of the growing season,
with a bountiful harvest that Fall !

Another el-cheapo ‘greenhouse’ I constructed consisted of bales of hay
for the back wall, and three large, old framed picture windows. I
stood the two windows up on end, teepee fa****on to join the two
together and form the peaked roof… the third pane I placed sideways on
the front, leaving the upper half wide open for ventilation. Man, did
that baby get hot inside!!!!!!!!! And the baby plants just loved it!
As the season progressed, I used the hay on the garden, and dismantled
the ‘greenhouse’ when it was no longer needed for the season!
