Muskmelon and Cantaloupe

by NOspam@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Mar 18, 2007 at 11:27 AM

Muskmelon and Cantaloupe

Start indoors late April or early May. For shorter growing-season
areas, sow indoors mid-March.

Be certain the soil is sufficiently warm before transplanting outside,
and ALL danger of late Spring frosts are past.

Sow ½ inch deep in Jiffy's or peat starters.

Prune once before transplanting to encourage production of female
blossoms.

Muskmelons & Cantaloupes like warm, sandy soil without too much
fertilizer.

Days to maturity: 68-80
