Spinach

Spinach

This can be sown directly as soon as the ground can be worked. A hardy
plant, late Spring frosts don't bother it.

Space 2 to 4 inches apart in rows 1 foot apart.

Sow a late crop in Late August to early September.

For winter spinach to be harvested in early Spring, sow in
mid-September and cover with hay mulch.

43 days to maturity.

Perennial spinach, such as 'New Zealand' seed should be soaked in
water 24 hours before planting.
Use only the thick, small, pointed leaves through the summer and fall.

43 days to maturity.
