G'day Charlie,

                     Now that Mr Bush is an honourary Queenslander,
for some reason, I guess we are kinda another distant state of America
anyway... And here in Queensland, we have a town called Texas, it's a
little country town in South West Queensland.  Although I have never
visited America, I imagine Texas to be not dissimilar to Queensland in
climate, rain fall etc... with the exception that our maijor highways
are probably not much different to a county bush track.  I have a
brother who spent a few years as a truck driver in the states and he
discribes the roads there as being far superior to ours, which is a
bit of a sore point with me and probably other ozzies, we have all
this wealth generated by the mineral mining boom, yet our
infrastructure is almost 3rd world, which I guess is that elusive 2nd
world we never hear about.  About 90% of ozzies live along the coastal
fringe, where most of the money gets spent, and most of the money is
generated well inland with mining and agriculture yet very little is
spent on roads and the like.

I live right on top of the tropic of capricorn in a town called
Rockhampton.  It's like a big country town.  Beef is our back bone
here.  Rail is a big part of this town also.  I work 5 hours drive
away from where I live, mining coal from the Bowen Basin, probably
Australias richest coal deposit.  Greenland benifits from what I do
because with climate change, greenland gets warmer and the people
there would probably enjoy a bit of sun****ne.  The rest of the world
doesn't really get much out of it though, but I don't feel all that
guilty because I feel that with climate change it has gone beyond the
point of no return and also we have had climate change before, in that
something had to melt down the ice ages, of which we are still
currently in the final stages of.  Besides, if I didn't do it, someone
else would.

Anyways mate, enjoy what you read here, maybe try some of the
"technology" in your garden there but remember to reverse the seasons.
