At our age, I believe in the adage, never explain and never apologise and

that, I'd add, never get embarrassed.

Probably.  Bastard is a multi use word and it's meaning depends on
context.

Well do come and visit.  I've had 3 days of cloudy skies and nothing but a

tiny bit of mizzle.  I now have cloudless and gloriously sunny days but
not 
at all hot.  I have plenty of gardening to do (and multiple feed bags full

of nice horse poop mixed with lucerne  to spread).  You could be here in 
under 48 hours and no doubt the weather will still be the same.  Sigh.  I 
wish it would rain.
