Sorry, I meant to respond to this post, but I forgot. :)
We have a variegated meyer lemon and a key lime, both in pots. We
build a tem****ary shelter for them, where we can protect them from the
north winds. If you have a well-protected south-facing wall, just
bring the pot next to the wall. If it's going to get very cold (<20),
you would need to cover it with some row cover or something like
that.
