It looks like I may have some December tomatoes, from plants I managed
to keep alive all summer in pots. The grape tomato started blossoming a
couple of days ago and I still have a couple of bees around so hopefully
the blossoms were pollinated.
I know temps are supposed to drop in the next few days so tomorrow I'll
put together a poor woman's hot-house: two layers of heavy plastic
painters' tarp over a 2x4 frame large enough to house the tomato plants,
the fig and the grapefruit. I'll squeeze in the cacti, too...
