Is this a joke. Over 70% of the "media" votes for left-of-center
candidates.

Have you ever stopped to consider that you are so far left that it looks
as if everyone else leans right? It is natural to consider YOUR position
to be "center", regardless if you are left of Stalin or right of Duke.

Fact is that the only way to overcome media bias is to present both sides
as equally as possible. The only news outlet I've seen do this is Fox
News. CNN has gotten better, but still skews left. For an example,
check out O'Reilly vs. Olbermann. O'Reilly has people that disagree with
him on his show. Sure, they argue and go at it, but HE HAS PEOPLE WHO
DISAGREE WITH HIM ON HIS SHOW, and their side gets presented. Olbermann
only presents guests who act as an echo chamber for him. Hannity and
Colmes is a better example. They present both sides equally, with ardent
sup****ters representing both sides.

But to prove the point, the left HATES Fox News, as I'm sure you do.
Many want to see Fox News shut down (so much for freedom of speech and
freedom of the press!). Why? Because they are the only major media
outlet that takes the time to present the position from the right. That
is too much for some people who don't like the idea that those who
disagree with them have free speech rights. But because they present
both sides, they are seen as a far right outfit. This is only true when
compared to the rest of the media who give no time at all to any views
not coming from the far left.
