starting firebushes in Jax

by Barbara Cox <barbaracox@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jan 31, 2004 at 04:24 PM

So far they have not (mostly) froze. They are on the s side against the
house. Hence the problem--- doing some window replacement soon, so I
will be cutting them way down so the window people can get at the window.

I don't want to just waste these nice plants. I tried rooting them
before one fall or summer with limited to no luck so wondering if
anyone has any tips-- rotone? in water? in compost? In dirt? bring them
in the house? Any success stories out there.
I just hate to juust throw out the top half of these plants.

Barb in Jacksonville.
