I've got these vanilla orchids that I'm having problems with. They
grow fine for a while, but eventually the roots go bad and the orchid
starts to die. We stick it in a glass of water for a few weeks,
healthy ground roots grow out, we transplant it back to the orchid
potting mix, it grows for a couple months, and then the roots go bad.
Any suggestions?
The orchid potting mix is just some mix I picked up at walmart with a
couple of other orchid oriented amendments added.
Is it reasonable to maybe try growing them hydroponically? They seem
to love that.
