My lawn is turning brown in a lot of areas. I limed it and fertilized
(scotts natural fertilizer-kid friendly) it as I do every year. This
past weekend I decided level off a couple of dips in my lawn so my
little girl wouldn't trip while running. I dug out the old grass and
what I found was these whitish / greyish little grubs (2-3cm long). I
decided to check around in a few other areas of my lawn where it is
more browner and I found lots of these. I'm assuming these are grubs
and are the critters responsible for my dying/browning lawn. Any
suggestions on how to treat it (i.e. with what) and when to treat it?
Or should I call the Weedman (or similar company) to come and treat
it? I don't have any weeds in my lawn but lots of these little plump
grubs. I've seen an unusaul number of birds on my lawn this year and
I'm guessing this is partly the reason--good feeding on the grubs as
I've watched them pluck the grubs out of the ground. Any help or
direction on who to contact would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris
