As I wrote recently, my cedars in Newfoundland have been dying from
the ground up for a few years. I was unable to find anything in the
lower dead branches but higher up in the viable foliage I noticed many
white fusiform objects about 0.8 cm by 0.2 cm that do not appear to
part of the tree but resemble pupae.
