I will agree with you, photographguy, in the aspect of stress on the
plants if moving during full leaf or flowering season. There is also a
possibility of the plant ( or tree or shrub) not taking proper root if
transplanted in the fall. Overwintering in this state could cause the
plant to die over the winter. If the plants are moved or planted in the
spring, there it a much greater chance of survival.
