I heard an expert say that the most common mistake people make with new
trees is not enough water. This guy said no matter how much it rains,
newly
planted trees must be given a gallon of water for every foot of height
every
week (I hope I'm remembering that formula correctly). I noticed that even
after all the rain we had the first week of August, the soil in all my
beds
is dry like powder now.
