Tulip Bulbs and Hostas - Advice Requested

by "N Hudson" <nhudson@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sep 4, 2007 at 10:23 PM

Hey all,
We're getting ready to move, and I want to take some of my tulip bulbs and

the hosta I've been working on for 4 years with me. How best to go about
this? Should I dig up the tulip bulbs and replant them right away in the
new
garden (I have access to the new place now), or keep them in sawdust until

the weather cools and then plant them in October?

As for the hosta, what are the odds it will survive the uprooting and
trans****t across town? I'll leave it if its chances of surviving an
uprooting are slim, but would really like to take it with me.

Thoughts?

TIA
