They should be hardy enough to survive the winter. I had two of the long
needle pines in pots last fall and they got left next to the house and
covered by 3 feet of snow and are doing fine in the ground now. Don't
bring them indoors. Just put them somewhere outside where they won't get
trampled or run over and they should do fine.
Plant them next spring the moment the ground is thawed enough to dig.
