Hi
I'm hoping someone can give me a little information. We live in the west
end
of St. John's near Bowring Park. For the past 2 years, we have had a well
known lawn service spray our trees for the spanworm. We have a number of
large maple trees and we understand the pest tends to feed on this type
of
tree.
I have had the lawn service company come out in the spring of the last 2
years to "confirm" that we had the bug in our trees. To be honest, they
probably could have told us yes OR no, and we wouldn't know the
difference.... we're not really gardening people. Anyway, they said we had
them so we authorized the spraying for each year.
Now we're at that time of year again and we have to make a decision. Does
anyone know how long we normally would have to spray... I realize there
probably isn't a firm answer, but has anyone else gone through this
feeling
of uncertainty? If we DID have the spanworm, the spray certainly worked as
we have never really seen any evidence. Anyway, just trying to deternine
if
it's worth hundreds of dollars again.
Thanks for any help. advice etc
