Compost stuff needed.

by kerry_nf@[EMAIL PROTECTED] May 23, 2008 at 05:49 PM

Hello folks. I have a very successful backyard compost bin that I can
turn scraps to compost in as little as 6 weeks. I have the process
down to an art form at this point....however, I need MORE stuff.

I am already getting a daily 10 gallons of coffee grounds from
Timmys...the grounds, I use directly in the garden and sometimes add
them to the pile to 'heat it up'.

I approaced the local grocery stores to see if they would donate their
veggie/fruit scraps and spoils to my effort but they have a safety
standards policy that prohibits them from giving the public their food
waste...understandable, tho I think they should revisit the policy and
have it changed a bit. Maybe introduce a legal waiver the person has
to sign or something...

Anway, does anyone know of any other places I could easily get
material...or maybe you want to donate your own kitchen waste. :)

Thanks.
