If they are white particles, that reflect back into space, they could
help reduce global warming. If they are grey or black, they will add to
global warming.

The United States has the most CO2 emissions (2.79 billion tons),
followed by China (2.66 billion tons).

Today, more than half of the electricity generated in the United States
comes from coal. For the foreseeable future, coal will continue to be
the dominant fuel used for electric power production.

The United States has a 300-year supply of coal, if it continues to use
it at the same rate as today.

challenges from industry lobbyists and some political leaders to the
agency's decisions have too often led to the suppression and distortion
of the scientific findings underlying those decisions--to the detriment
of both science and the health of our nation. While every regulatory
agency must balance scientific findings with other considerations,
policy makers need access to the highest-quality scientific information
to make fully informed decisions.

According to Steven Hawkings, we could turn our planet into another
Venus, with 250C temps and sulfuric acid rain, which will not be good,
even for plants.
