They did have a switch up in the lines to one house. They called it
irrigation water, which meant it was treated enough for irrigation, but
not for drinking. Probably the same as the water the waste treatment
plant puts back in to rivers. I have seen demos of that where someone
from a waste treatment plant actually drank some. It is at least one
step below drinking water treatment though.
